A statement from easyfitzshop
Updated June 22nd 2020
We’re getting back to “normal”
I’m pleased to say, that after a very challenging period, things at easyfitzshop are gradually returning to something more like normal. Our stores reopened on June 15th and almost all our employees in all our different departments are now back from furlough. We are of course continuing to observe appropriate social distancing in all our locations, and taking extra care with regard to all hygiene matters.
SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
We have issued new 10 page health and safety documents to all staff following rigorous Covid-19 Risk Assessments. Every member of staff has read the document relevant to them and confirmed they have done so and are happy with the contents, so we are all moving forward together in harmony.
WORKING WITH ROYAL MAIL
We are dependent upon our partners at Royal Mail and other shippers to deliver your goods, and after some difficult weeks, things are now much closer to normal in terms of delivery expectations and speed. Our delivery partners Royal Mail and DPD are now delivering parcels contact free. If choosing Standard UK Delivery please allow up to 5 days for delivery
Working with our international partners:
We are pleased to say, that despite all the difficulties thrown up by the restrictions associated with Covid-19, Fedex have continued to offer their priority service to most destinations worldwide. This is a premium service provided by FedEx, complete with end to end tracking, so you will be updated at every stage along the journey. Fed-Ex have imposed a surcharge on this service, but easyfitzshop is absorbing this extra cost and is not passing it on to our customers.
2. International Airmail via Royal Mail
Unfortunately following advice from Royal Mail, we had to make the decision to withdraw International Airmail as a delivery option and this still remains the case. We will continue to evaluate the situation and will re-instate it as soon as we are confident that normal delivery timescales can be met.
Of course, we aren’t “out of the woods” yet. There will doubtless be problems and difficult times still ahead, but we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has shopped with us this year, for placing your trust in us, and for making allowances when the speed of our deliveries slipped below our usual expectations.
Best wishes, Mike Adams
